Manchester United continue to connect with the clubs fans in China by engaging them through localised content. A series of films, titled ‘Wake Up The Red Devil’, produced by United’s creative agency in China, Qumin, have combined football, Manga and gaming to inspire Chinese fans.

The interactive videos are brought to life as an animated HTML5 site, capturing the users’ data at different sections of the story. The aim of the series is to increase the size of Manchester United’s database of fans in China and welcome more fans to the Manchester United family.

Earlier this year Man United were named the most popular sports team online in China. Data from the Chinese social media platforms WeChat and Weibo as well as audience figures from live streams of games and how the respective club websites and apps perform in the country, puts United’s following in China at 107 million.
