KPMG, professional service company, has revealed that Manchester United are once again, the most valuable football club in Europe. The ‘enterprise value’ study reports United’s worth at about £2.9b, which is more than rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The Red Devil’s had another successful season in terms of income as they topped the Premier League prize money table, beating the league winners Manchester City (read more here). United also increased their quarterly sales by 8%.
Despite huge transfer deals and increasing staff costs, six Premier League clubs feature in KPMG’s top 10 most valuable sides. Andrea Sartori, author of the report, explains English football and the football industry in general has once again, grown over the past year.
