Ahead of last weekend’s English Football League play-off finals, headline sponsor Sky Bet launched a new responsible gambling campaign. The aim of the campaign is to educate players and staff from the 72 EFL clubs about the harms of gambling. In order to raise awareness of this campaign, those playing across either the Championship, League One and League Two playoffs wore a new sleeve patch with the following tagline: “When The Fun Stops. Stop.”

This campaign was part of the recent five-year sponsorship extension deal between Sky Bet and the EFL. EPIC Risk Management, the leading independent Gambling harm-minimisation consultancy in the UK, will run training sessions for each club to ensure players understand the risks associated with gambling.
