Retrospective Red Cards
It has been confirmed that referees will be able to give red cards for off-the-ball incidents spotted by VAR, even if play has restarted. The IFAB believe that the event of retrospective red cards will not happen often and only for extremely serious offences such as biting, spitting or offensive gestures. VAR has already faced criticism from fans, players and managers. More here.
