The Premier League has announced a six-year extension with Nike, which will see the longstanding partnership run until at least 2025. Nike will continue to act as the official match ball provider for the Premier League, a position they have held since 2000/01 when they introduced the Nike Geo Merlin.

The 2018/19 season represents the 15th iteration of Nike Premier League match balls where we are set to witness the 19,000th Premier League goal scored with a Nike football.

The extended deal also covers the Premier League’s youth development and international events, with the Premier League Primary Stars Kit and Equipment Scheme another key benefactor from the partnership. As well as continuing to supply the kit for match officials.

Two weeks ago, Tottenham Hotspur also announced an extension with Nike, meaning Spurs kit deal with the German sportswear giant will run to 2033. More here.
