The NBA announced that its subscription package, NBA League Pass, would now be available on Amazon Prime Video. Although the cost of the League Pass will remain at $169 it will offer different features for subscribers, including access to Prime Video’s X-Ray feature. X-Ray enables fans to toggle through team and player stats and information as they watch the games.

New subscribers will be able to access NBA League Pass via Prime Video without the need to download an app – unlike users currently have to on other streaming services. Currently Prime Video subscribers can access a week-long free trial of League Pass from now until December 20th.

This announcement further strengthens Amazon’s position on live sport streaming. In June, the company secured a ground-breaking deal to live stream 20 Premier League matches per-season for three years. More here.
