Paris Saint-Germain’s shirt sales have become the fifth most popular in world football thanks to their ground-breaking collaboration with the Nike-owned Jordan Brand.
The French club announced the collaboration in September 2018, initially teaming up with the legendary Michael Jordan fashion line on their third kit for the UEFA Champions League.
After initial success, they have since launched a full product range that has seen sales rise globally, with considerable US success where they have seen 470% growth in shirt sales.
The importance of the collaboration to PSG’s global strategy was spoken about by PSG’s Brand Diversification and Development Manager - "It's part of Nasser Al-Khelaifi's project to make Paris Saint-Germain a very big football club and a global lifestyle brand,".
"It enables us to go and find an audience of fans who don't necessarily follow Paris Saint-Germain as a football club but who will align themselves with the project. Because wearing a Jordan x PSG product will be very cool from a lifestyle point of view, even if you don't play basketball or football.
