German champions Bayern Munich launched their new home shirt for the 2018/19 season this week, with help from long-standing supplier Adidas. The launch event in Germany was attended by Bayern superstars including Thomas Muller, Manuel Neuer, James Rodriguez and Robert Lewandowski.
Front of shirt sponsor T-Mobile helped activate the launch alongside Adidas in New York, as Bayern took over T-Mobile’s digital advertising boards above their store in Time Square to promote the new kit. Bayern have a big presence in America and will be returning to the States for their pre-season tour, as they participate in the International Champions Cup. Munich are also known for their social media presence in America with the @FCBayernUS Twitter handle creating some of the most memorable social content for the club.
The new kit receives its debut in Saturday’s Bundesliga fixture at home to VfB Stuttgart. Jupp Heynckes’ men will also wear the shirt in the DFB Cup final against Eintracht Frankfurt at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on 19th May.
