US Teenager, Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf has won $3m to become first Fortnite World Cup champion.
The event took place in New York where Bugha beat 99 players to secure the #1 spot. A British 15-year-old took home £900,000.
With over 250m Fortnite players globally, and 40m attempting to qualify for the tournament, this is further evidence of the global march of eSports.
